PowerPhotos 1.7.8: freezing fix for large libraries on macOS 10.15.2

PowerPhotos 1.7.8 is now available for download from our website, and existing customers can update using the “Check For Updates” menu item within the PowerPhotos app. The update is free for all customers. The most important fix is for a performance issue that cropped up starting in macOS 10.15.2, which would cause PowerPhotos to take an exceptionally long time to display large libraries. This could cause PowerPhotos to hang with the “spinning beachball” cursor for quite a while on launch, or when selecting a new library. Large libraries should load much faster in 1.7.8, so if you’ve been seeing troubles with that, I highly recommend downloading the new version from our website and replacing your current version. This update also includes a handful of other bug fixes. You can read the full release notes here.
