Live Photo videos
When exporting Live Photos, PowerPhotos can export both the photo and video components of each Live Photo. If selected, a .mov file will be exported alongside the photo with the same filename as the photo (e.g. exporting “IMG_1234.JPG” will also export a “IMG_1234.MOV” file). If you later import the photo/video pair back into a Photos library, Photos will recombine the two parts to show them as an individual Live Photo. Only JPG and HEIC support Live Photos though, so videos will not be included when exporting as PNG or TIFF.
Burst photos
If you have burst photo sequences in your library, PowerPhotos can optionally include all photos in the burst sequence when exporting, not just the photos you’ve selected from the burst. This option is available for all export types.
XMP sidecars
PowerPhotos can optionally export XMP sidecar files alongside your photos. XMP sidecars are XML files that contain metadata about the photo (such as keywords, titles, captions, dates, and locations), and are especially useful when exporting RAW files with “Original with metadata” mode where you’ve chosen to export the unmodified RAW.
Since RAW files cannot have their embedded metadata modified, the XMP sidecar provides a way to preserve your metadata in a separate file that travels alongside the photo. Many photo management and editing applications can read XMP sidecar files and use them to display your metadata even when the metadata isn’t embedded in the photo file itself.
You can choose to export XMP sidecars for RAW files only, or for all photos.
