Fat Cat Software

Fat Cat Software has acquired FlickrExport for iPhoto and Aperture

I’m pleased to announced that Fat Cat Software has acquired FlickrExport from Connected Flow Ltd, its long time home. FlickrExport is a pair of plugins that let you upload your photos and metadata to your Flickr account directly from your iPhoto or Aperture library, using each program’s built-in exporting function. FlickrExport has also been updated to version 4.1, which now provides compatibility with iPhoto 9.5, and fulfills Flickr’s new requirement that all communication with its servers be done over an encrypted SSL connection.I’m really excited to be adding FlickrExport to our media management lineup alongside iPhoto Library Manager and PowerTunes. Now, in addition to helping people organize their photos and music on their Macs, FlickrExport can extend that organizational help to the web as well. I think FlickrExport’s already full featured photo and metadata uploading will come in quite useful for a lot of iPhoto and Aperture users, and I’m looking forward to seeing what possibilites the future might hold as well. Existing FlickrExport 4 users will be able to continue to use their current serial numbers, so you can simply download the new version from our website, and continue using it as you always have. Upgrade pricing is also available for owners of FlickrExport 3 and earlier, which you can read more about on our FlickrExport Upgrade FAQ page. Do note that because of Flickr’s new SSL requirement which goes into effect on June 27, 2014, all previous versions of FlickrExport will no longer be able to upload photos, so you will want to update to version 4.1. FlickExport also provides compatibility with iPhoto 9.5, so if you wish to use FlickrExport with the newest version of iPhoto, you can now do so with version 4.1. If you haven’t used FlickrExport before, feel free to download it and try a free 30 day trial. There is a version for iPhoto as well as one for Aperture that you can download.
