PowerPhotos supports automating tasks with your photo libraries using two different technologies: Shortcuts and AppleScript. Whether you want to set up a quick workflow to organize your photos, or write a more complex script that manages your entire photo collection, PowerPhotos provides the tools to do it.

Shortcuts lets you create visual workflows using PowerPhotos actions in the Shortcuts app. This is the easiest way to get started with automation, and is great for creating simple, reusable workflows.

AppleScript provides a full scripting interface for PowerPhotos, giving you fine-grained control over libraries, albums, and photos. AppleScript is well suited for more complex automation tasks, and can be combined with other scriptable apps on your Mac.
