Metadata and export types

Metadata options are available when using the “Original with metadata” or “Edited” export types. When using “Unmodified original”, metadata options are disabled and files are exported exactly as they were originally imported, without any metadata modifications.

Supported metadata types

PowerPhotos can include metadata that you’ve assigned to your photos and videos embedded in the EXIF metadata of each exported file. This includes dates, keywords, titles, captions, and GPS locations. If any of these options is unchecked, PowerPhotos will not add the metadata to the exported file’s EXIF data, but if the original file had any of this metadata, it may still be present in the exported file. The exception to this is location data, which can be privacy concern. If the Location box is unchecked, then PowerPhotos will make sure to strip all location data from the exported file.

These metadata options apply to both photos and videos.
