Registration
PowerTunes is a shareware program, which you can download and use for a free 30 day trial period, during which you have full access to all the features of the program. After the trial period has expired, you will still be able to use PowerTunes, but only the most basic features will be accessible until you purchase a license.
The following features will no longer be enabled after the trial period has expired:
- Creating new libraries
- Copying tracks/playlists between libraries
- Merging libraries
- Fixing dead tracks
- Finding orphans in your media folder
- Sharing libraries and media folders
- Moving/switching media folders
- Creating library shortcuts
The following tasks can always be done, even after the trial period has expired:
- Opening existing libraries
- Adding existing libraries to PowerTunes
- Finding libraries on your hard drive
- Using the PowerTunes Dashboard widget
In a nutshell, you will always be able to access your iTunes libraries and music, even using an expired copy of PowerTunes, you just won't be able to create anything new or move stuff around.

After purchasing your license, you will receive a serial number that you can use to register your copy of PowerTunes and give you unlimited access to the program's features. To enter your serial number, either click the "Register Now" link in the order confirmation e-mail that is sent after placing your order, or copy and paste your name and serial number into the registration window in PowerTunes. You can open the registration window by selecting "Registration" from the PowerTunes menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
